Where does one Disc Golf?

If you are new to this sport, you may find yourself asking this very question. Mr. Belsky has already mentioned a great disc golfing spot, Crane Hill in Wilbraham. What happens if you do not live near Wilbraham? What if you want to try a new Disc Golf course and do not know where to start? I am here to tell you about  two of the best disc golfing courses in Massachusetts available to the public.

The first place we have up for review is Maple Hill in Leicester Massachusetts. Maple hill is known for its well known courses. This course boast bodies of water to be able to play near, but be careful not to lose your disc into the water! Every tee has rubber pads, and at every tee box, there are benches and tables. Maple Hill is also known for keeping its course in prime condition. For those looking for a challenge and a beautiful course Maple Hill is for you.

The second place we are looking at today is the Borderland State Park in Easton, Massachusetts. Borderland State Park is quite a good course, there are two pins two tee-pads per hole. It also has variation of holes from short holes to long holes. The land is well maintained and it is quite a peaceful course. The course has two sets of tees and two sets of baskets on each hole, creating four different course combinations to be played.  Lots of tight lines through the trees. Good mix of left-to-right and right-to-left holes, forcing you to make a wide range of shots each round. The blue tees to blue basket combination is long and demanding, while the white-white combo is shorter, more forgiving, and features a number of ace runs. Only complaint is that it can sometimes get buggy and swampy depending on the weather, so bring bug repellent!
